What makes the profession of landscape architect:
We are designers for public spaces and we change our environment! The search for a design that satisfies both aesthetic and functional requirements presents us with challenges time and again. A wide field of different tasks lies ahead of us. We master it best in (interdisciplinary) teams.
What I would like to recommend to my students:
Whether in an urban or rural context, every place is different and requires a specific, tailored response. Therefore, we should not fall back on an arbitrary repertoire, but rather question ourselves anew with each task as to which means we should use to further develop the place.
