1. Semester
In this practice-oriented module you will learn, practice and work on different design techniques and the basics of spatial perception.
In this module you will learn the basics of surveying technology and the structural design of earthworks and road construction.
Today, many plans are no longer created by hand with pencil and ruler, but on the computer. In this module you will be introduced to the corresponding software, the CAD programs.
The plan is the landscape architect’s main tool of communication. This module therefore teaches the basics of drawing a plan.

2. Semester
history of garden and building
Here you will get an overview of the style epochs of building and garden history – from antiquity to the modern age.
morphology of landscape architecture
The different elements of landscape architecture (walls, trees, small buildings, etc.) have different design characteristics. How to use them the best way, you will learn here.
Building on construction 1, construction 2 will expand your basic constructive and technical understanding – especially with regard to structural design, foundation measures and the construction and implementation planning of solid construction elements.
In the second part of the module you can further deepen your skills in computer-aided representation.
In the summer semester you can further develop your drawing skills. Now it is about sketching architecture and open spaces, for example.
The garden, whether in a single-family or multi-storey residential building, has its own special requirements, which you as a planner should consider and learn in this module.
In this module you will deepen your knowledge in vegetation planning and also learn basic tasks, procedures and elements of vegetation engineering.

3. Semester
landscape
In this cooperation module with the study course landscape planning you learn the basics of landscape planning, soil science and ecology.

After this module you will be familiar with the history of urban planning and know the basics of planning law.
typology of open space planning
In this module you will learn about the different types of open space such as garden, park or square.
In this module you will be taught the in-depth presentation methodology of execution planning in the different scale levels.
As a planner, you have to respond to the needs of different user groups. Therefore, in this module you develop a design for a heterogeneous user group.
