Tachenhausen
The larger of the two gardens is located on the farm in Tachenhausen (near Oberboihingen). Here above all the marketable assortments of shrubs and herbaceous plants, which are used in landscape architecture and landscape planning, are presented. The approx. 1100 perennials are sorted according to their areas of life and on the tree meadow there are approx. 600 different woody plants. Here most of the courses in the subjects vegetation planning and plant knowledge take place. For first-year students, the preliminary plant courses take place here before the actual start of the semester.

Braike
The garden is located directly on the Campus Braike behind the university building. The garden has been in existence since 1985 and is supplemented by new plantings to this day. Due to its proximity to the cafeteria and the many seating possibilities, the garden is often used by students during breaks to relax. There are also some courses in vegetation planning and plant knowledge. Various locations for plants have been created on the grounds by earth modelling and differentiated soil conditions. There is also a pond with a variety of water plants.

April to October
Monday to Friday usually from 8:00 am until nightfall. November to March Monday to Friday usually from 9:00 to 12:00. Closed in case of snow and ice!
