Session-Cookies

Session cookies are used for WordPress and are deleted when the browser window is closed.

Using Youtube-Videos

This website embeds YouTube videos into its information offering. YouTube uses cookies, among other things, to collect video statistics, to prevent fraud and to improve the user experience. Through the YouTube cookies, the website operators receive statistical values on the retrieval of individual videos embedded in the website without a reference to the respective user. This website uses embedded YouTube videos in private mode. This means that YouTube does not store cookies for a user who visits a website with an embedded YouTube video, but does not click on the video to start playback. If the YouTube video is clicked, YouTube may store cookies on the user’s computer. However, no personal cookie information is stored for playbacks of embedded videos.

A personal identification of a visitor is therefore not possible, even subsequently.

We strive to avoid tracking and cookies as much as possible. However, we would like to inform you about the possibilities to prevent the tracking of your online visit by using cookies:

Browser-Add-on to deactivate Google Analytics
(disables only the tracking and setting of cookies by Google Analytics)

Note:
With all common browsers, online tracking and cookies that have already been set can generally be deactivated/deleted via the browser settings. You can find examples under:

BSI for People – Avoid Cookies

Examples: Uses the private mode of your web browser to avoid permanently storing cookies:

Mozilla Firefox: Private Mode

Google Chorme: Private Surfing

Apple Safari: Private Surfing

Microsoft Edge: InPrivate-Browse in Microsoft Edge

The above deactivation tool cannot be installed on every mobile device such as smartphone or tablet. Here, tracking can be done directly in the browser or via the device settings:

  • On iOS devices via “Settings”, then “Safari” and here under the heading Privacy & Security, tracking can be rejected and prevented, and cookies can be blocked.
  • On Android devices with Google Chrome, the “Do not Track” item can be activated in the browser in the options menu (three dots) under “Settings” under the heading Advanced, then “Privacy”.

Deviations in the instructions and options for older / newer operating system versions are possible. The information about this can also be found in the instructions of the respective providers of the browsers, operating systems and device manufacturers.

For social media communication, we currently use official accounts in the social networks Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

The publications of the study program Landscape Architecture (project group LANT) that can be found in the social networks are additional, voluntary offers, where there is no obligation to participate. All relevant information about LANT can be found on this website. In case of doubt or questions about social media, use the contact form on the LANT website.

We do not collect or process any personal data from your use of our pages on the aforementioned social networks. Our pages are for information and communication purposes only.

However, the data you enter, in particular your username and the content published under your account, will be processed by us insofar as we may comment on your postings or also make postings from us that refer to your account. The data freely published and disseminated by you on the social networks will thus be included by HfWU in its offer and made accessible to its subscribers.

Please take into account that the social networks are offered by external service providers and have their own data protection regulations. Please inform yourself before using these platforms and always handle your data with care.

When visiting our pages on Facebook, Instagram and Youtube, users’ data may therefore be processed outside the area of the European Union, where German or European data protection law does not apply. The enforcement of your rights may be more difficult as a result. US providers certified for the Privacy Shield have committed to comply with EU data protection standards.

Please take into account that the Landscape Architecture Program cannot provide any information about what data is stored about you by using our pages in the aforementioned social networks, as we do not have access to the data of individual users.

Requests for information and the assertion of user rights are best directed to the providers themselves. This is because only they have access to all user data and can provide the requested information or take action.

The data protection declarations for our social media accounts are aligned or based on the data protection declaration of the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (LfDI) Baden-Württemberg.

You can find more information on this at: www.baden-wuerttemberg.datenschutz.de

We access the technical platform and services of Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland for the information service offered here.

We would like to point out that you use this Facebook page and its functions on your own responsibility. This applies in particular to the use of the interactive functions (e.g. commenting, sharing, rating). Alternatively, you can also access the information offered via this page on our website at www.la-nuertingen.de.

When you visit our Facebook page, Facebook collects, among other things, your IP address and other information that is present on your PC in the form of cookies. This information is used to provide us, as operators of the Facebook pages, with statistical information about the use of the Facebook page. Facebook provides more detailed information on this under the following link: https://de-de.facebook.com/help/pages/insights.

The data collected about you in this context is processed by Facebook Ltd. and may be transferred to countries outside the European Union. Facebook describes in general terms what information it receives and how it is used in its data usage guidelines*. There you will also find information on how to contact Facebook and on the settings options for advertisements. The data usage guidelines are available at the following link: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php

Facebook’s full data policy can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/full_data_use_policy

In what way Facebook uses data from visits to Facebook pages for its own purposes, to what extent activities on the Facebook page are assigned to individual users, how long Facebook stores this data and whether data from a visit to the Facebook page is passed on to third parties, is not conclusively and clearly stated by Facebook and is not known to us.

When you access a Facebook page, the IP address assigned to your terminal device is transmitted to Facebook. According to Facebook, this IP address is anonymized (for “German” IP addresses) and deleted after 90 days. Facebook also stores information about the end devices of its users (e.g. as part of the “login notification” function); if necessary, this enables Facebook to assign IP addresses to individual users.

If you are currently logged in to Facebook as a user, a cookie with your Facebook ID is located on your end device. This enables Facebook to track that you have visited this page and how you have used it. This also applies to all other Facebook pages. Via Facebook buttons embedded in websites, it is possible for Facebook to record your visits to these website pages and assign them to your Facebook profile. Based on this data, content or advertising can be offered tailored to you.

If you want to avoid this, you should log out of Facebook or deactivate the “stay logged in” function, delete the cookies present on your device and exit and restart your browser. In this way, Facebook information through which you can be directly identified will be deleted. This will allow you to use our Facebook page without revealing your Facebook identifier. When you access interactive features of the page (like, comment, share, message, etc.), a Facebook login screen will appear. After any login, you will again be recognizable to Facebook as a specific user.

You can find information on how to manage or delete information about you on the following Facebook support pages: https://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy#

What data does the Landscape Architecture program (LANT project group) collect through its Facebook page and what does it do with the data?

As the provider of the LANT Facebook page, we do not collect or process any personal data from your use of our service. The page is solely for information and communication purposes.

The information and publications found on our Facebook page are exclusively additional, voluntary offers in which there is no obligation to participate. All relevant information about LANT can be found on the official website www.la-nuertingen.de.

Please note that when you interact with content on our site (like, comment, share, message, etc.), information and links to your profile become visible and are collected and processed by Facebook. Check your privacy settings in this regard. In your private profile, you can find numerous setting options under the item “Settings” and there “Privacy”, with which you can better protect your data against third parties.

It is currently not possible to object to Facebook’s use of your data; if necessary, you must log out as a fan of a page or deactivate or delete your account.

Duty to provide information:

The LANT project group as the site operator cannot provide any information about what data is stored about you through the use of Facebook’s service, as the LANT project group does not have access to the data of individual users. Therefore, please use above all the contact option for Facebook and the download function for user data (https://www.facebook.com/settings).
