4. Semester

Business Administration

General business administration as well as construction management are the contents of this module. In addition to the basics of business administration, you will also learn how to model a project organization and how to optimize operational methods and workflows.

The main focus of Civil Engineering IV is on the design and construction of bridges, walkways and observation decks. You’ll also learn the basics of constructing water features and deepen your knowledge of stormwater management.

Building procedure

In this module, you will learn about different construction methods and the associated construction machinery. You will also get an overview of the subsequent testing procedures.

Being able to communicate your design idea to others – whether visually or verbally – is very important to your future professional success and is therefore taught to you in this module.

During a draft in the public space you increase your confidence in the design methodical area and train your draft and plan representation.

5. Semester

Internship semester

Now it’s time to immerse yourself in the everyday working life of a landscape architect for six months. During the practical semester, you can freely choose whether you want to work in a planning office, a public authority or a gardening and landscaping company – in Germany or abroad.

Construction process 1

In this module, you will create your first own cost calculation and service description. You will also learn about the objectives and methods of tendering/awarding in landscaping.

Building materials science and
quality assurance

Here you will get an overview of the building materials and building products used in landscape architecture and their quality and sustainable use.

Complex construction details of landscape architecture will challenge you in this module and deepen your knowledge of detailed implementation planning.

In “Building in an Environment” you will encounter complex tasks related to architecture, urban planning and landscape planning that will expand your planning skills and knowledge.

Open Space Management

You will learn goals, tasks, and methods for maintenance and vegetation management of open spaces – especially public spaces – in this module.

Construction process 2

In this module you will gain knowledge and skills in negotiation techniques, construction execution and project control.
