2nd Semester

Earthworks abd Path Construction

2025

In the summer semester of 2025, landscape architecture students in the earthworks and road construction module examined structural road details in public spaces. The aim of the “Detailbuch 2.0” student research project was to analyze existing public spaces from a technical perspective and develop them further with sustainability in mind.

Based on previous work, the students examined selected spaces in terms of paving, drainage, stairways, and green spaces. In addition, alternative design proposals were developed with a focus on climate-adapted materials, permeable paving, and optimized drainage solutions.

The results were compiled in a detail book that combines analysis, hand-drawn plans, and conceptual approaches.
