In the Rüppur district of Karlsruhe, an attractive, individual and identity-forming neighbourhood with residential and office units, retail and a kindergarten is to be created with high qualities in terms of “climate resilience” (climate adaptation and climate protection), “energy efficiency”, “new urban communities” and “urban mobility”. What is required is a forward-looking and innovative urban development concept with a transport concept oriented towards the environmental network.
