KAMMHUBER AREAL KARLSRUHE

The city of Karlsruhe wants to establish a new residential and commercial neighbourhood on the site of the General Kammhuber barracks. The aim is to develop an attractive neighbourhood that does not destroy nature but generates added value for people and the environment. The aim is to combine urban planning, ecology and landscape design and to create a future-oriented neighbourhood with special qualities. We looked at issues such as the appropriate density of development, sustainable access, rainwater management, biodiversity, social interaction and climate adaptation in order to come up with innovative, future-proof solutions.
